Benefits Extended By The Board

(1) Marriage Assistance @ Rs. 7,000/- The beneficiaries is eligible to get financial assistance of Rs.7,000/- to the marriage of their children. A female beneficiary is also eligible for this assistance for her own marriage. This assistance shall be sanctioned for the marriage of two children of the beneficiary.

(2) Maternity Benefit @ Rs.5000/- The women beneficiary who are eligible for this assistance during the period of maternity. The spouse of male worker who is the beneficiary of this Board shall be eligible for this benefit. Provided that this benefit shall not be allowed more than twice.

(3) Funeral Assistance @ Rs. 7,000/- The Board may sanction an amount of Rs.7,000/- to the nominees / dependents of a deceased member, towards funeral expenses.

(4) Natural and Accidental death benefit @ Rs.70,000/- The Board may sanction a sum of Rs.70,000/- as death benefit to the nominees / dependents of the beneficiary..

Accidental death during the course of employment:- The Board may sanction a sum of Rs. 2.25 lakhs as accidental death benefit who die in harness (during the course of employment) to the nominees / dependents of the beneficiary.

(5) Disability benefit - The Board may sanction a sum of Rs.75,000/- for total disability to the beneficiaries depends on the medical disability certificate issued by the Government Medical Officer (Competent authority).

(6) Medical Assistance @ Rs.500/- for initial minimum period of 5 days and thereafter @ 50/- per day upto maximum of Rs.1500/- p.m.:- The Board may sanction financial assistance to the beneficiaries who are hospitalized for five or more days due to accident or any disease. The financial assistance shall be Rs.500/- for the first 5 days and Rs.50/- each for the remaining days, subject to a maximum of Rs.1500/-.

(7) Accidental Medical Assistance @ Rs.1500/- per month:- The Board may sanction Accidental medical assistance to the enrolled beneficiaries, if a worker sustain fracture will be eligible for financial assistance of Rs.1500/- p.m. until he/she becomes physically fit to resume normal work (such claims from the workers shall be supported by medical certificates issued by a Government doctor).

(8) Specialized treatment Medical assistance up to Rs. 2 Lakhs:- The Board extends Medical assistance up to Rs. 2 Lakhs for Specialized treatment taken in Hospitals having tie-up with Government General Hospitals at Puducherry / Karaikal / Mahe / Yanam for the diseases like TB, Lung disease, Neuro, Accident with a referral letter duly obtained from the Health Department, Government of Puducherry by the beneficiary.

(9) Higher Educational financial assistance:- The Board extending higher educational financial assistance to the wards of beneficiaries. The details of educational financial assistance as follows:-

M.B.B.S/B.D.S(CENTAC) : Rs.1,00,000/-onetime payment
B.E/B.Tech.(CENTAC) : Rs. 50,000/- onetime payment
Diploma in Engineering : Rs. 20,000/- onetime payment
PG Degree courses : Rs. 4,000/- per annum
Degree courses : Rs. 2,000/- per annum
PG Diploma courses : Rs. 3,000/- per annum
Non –Engg. Dip.courses : Rs. 2,000/- per annum

(10) Educational cash award:-The Board extending educational cash award to the wards of beneficiaries who have secured top three ranks at the State Level and Regional Level in the Higher Secondary course or its equivalent examinations as detailed below.

First rank : Rs.1,00,000/-
Second rank : Rs. 80,000/-
Third rank : Rs. 60,000/-

(b) Region wise Cash benefit
First rank : Rs. 60,000/-
Second rank : Rs. 40,000/-
Third rank : Rs. 20,000/-

P.G. Medical / P.G. Engg. Courses financial assistance: The Board extending P.G. courses financial assistance to the wards of beneficiaries. The details of educational financial assistance as follows:-
a) DM Clinical pharmacology, Cardiology, Neurology, M.Ch oncology, Hand Surgery, and any other PG Super Speciality
Courses : Rs.1,50,000/-
b) PG Medicine, Radiology, Family Medicine, Anatomy, Pathology, Ayurvedic Medicine and any other PG Medical Courses :
Rs.1,00,000/-
c) M.S. Orthopaedics, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Anatomy and any other PG Medical Courses : Rs.1,00,000/-

(11) Refund of Contribution :- The Board is repaying the entire amount of contribution paid by a beneficiary to the nominee/legal heir on death of the beneficiary.

(12) Diwali Gift Coupon@ Rs.2000/-- The Board has issued Diwali Gift Coupon of Rs.2000/- to celebrate a Diwali festival to all the enrolled beneficiaries in the Board.

(13) COVID-19 BENEFIT- The Board has sanctioned sum of Rs.2000/- to each beneficiary in the live register enrolled in the Board during the period May 2020 due to pandemic period as per the directions issued by the Government of India.
